We are writing to you on behalf of our dear friend Inessa, who is in urgent need of our support. In 2014, Inessa received the heartbreaking news that she had a malignant tumor (melanoma) on a nerve ending in her right eye. After receiving targeted radiation treatment in St. Petersburg and having her eye removed in September of that year, Inessa's journey with cancer was only just beginning.

Over the years, Inessa underwent regular check-ups and MRI scans to stay on top of her health. Six months after the operation, 3 formations were discovered in her liver. The oncologist said that they were just cysts, without bothering to take a puncture, and sent her home!

In 2020, she and her husband decided to immigrate to the US, not solely due to health issues, but for other reasons as well. Eight months after arriving, Inessa was rushed to the hospital with acute abdominal pain and was quickly diagnosed with a ruptured appendix. During her treatment, doctors discovered multiple growths in her liver. These metastases had been in her liver for 7 years, growing. These were the same formations that the oncologist referred to as cysts! In May 2021, a biopsy revealed that these "cysts" were actually the same melanoma cancer she had been battling for the past seven years, now at stage four with metastases in her liver and abdomen.

After undergoing two rounds of chemotherapy, Inessa suffered further complications when her adrenal glands stopped functioning, leaving her without vital hormones. She began an experimental treatment in October 2021, which was discontinued in July 2022 due to its damaging side effects on her bones, bones began to deteriorate. Fortunately, a new medication specifically designed to treat her type of cancer became available in July 2022, and Inessa began taking it with the hope that it would finally be the answer she's been seeking all these years.

However, Inessa is unable to work and is in need of financial assistance to cover her medical expenses and living costs.
