Hi, my name is Adnan Nasim, and I'm raising funds for my friend Muhammad Faraz's daughter, Irha. I have worked with Faraz in Pakistan and know him personally. Faraz and his family currently reside in Pakistan. Since GOFUNDME does not operate in Pakistan, we have created the fund here in Sydney, Australia. All the funds raised will be transferred to Muhammad Faraz's bank account in Pakistan and the raised money will be used to purchase Irha's medicines

Our beautiful girl Irha has been diagnosed with type 2 SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy). SMA is a genetic neuromuscular condition that causes muscle weakness and wasting due to the loss of motor neurons. It is a degenerative disease that if left untreated, is fatal.

At around 15 months old, we realized something wasn't right with Irha. She wasn't hitting the expected milestones that babies should have at his age. She could not support her head against Gravity, she stopped kicking her legs, and the movement in her arms was getting worse rather than better. After bringing her to hospital, blood tests confirmed our worst nightmare when she was diagnosed with SMA. Unfortunately, at that time (2020), no medicine for SMA was available in Pakistan, but now there is hope for Irha to get the Medicine, as Evrysdi (Risdiplam) is available in Pakistan. She has been working so hard on daily physical therapy sessions from last 45 months to keep her muscles active. Now she is 5 years old and Irha has started her first Evrsydi medicine 2 months back with your generous support and donations, as this is a lifelong medicine which she has to take on daily basis in order to keep her muscles active and functional. we are unable to afford this expensive therapeutical medicine without your support and donations.
