Help Irma Regain Her Vision and Strength

Hello, I am reaching out to share Irma's story and to ask for support in funding her cataract surgery and help with her bills for medication. Irma has always been a strong person physically, but lately she has been complaining of weakness in her body, difficulty breathing, and not being able to see clearly, more so after she turned 87 years old in February of 2025. She seems to have aged drastically from May 2023, where she was more vibrant and of sound mind, to where she is at now in 2025. She was taken to her primary care doctor who then referred her to the hospital where she was diagnosed with high blood pressure, a weak heartbeat, cholesterol, and acid reflux. She stayed there for 5 days for treatment to lower the blood pressure, which could have caused a stroke or heart attack, the doctor said.

She was prescribed medication for high blood pressure, heart, acid reflux, and cholesterol.

Prior to that, she was watching television and noted that she suddenly wasn't seeing clearly and began to panic, thinking that she was going blind. She was then taken to the ophthalmologist who diagnosed her with cataracts and recommended laser surgery to remove the cataracts so that she can regain better vision. I know that she is down in age, but it breaks my heart to see a once energetic, vibrant, caring mother become so frail. In 2023, she was dancing at her granddaughters' wedding, and now she needs a walker or someone to take her around. I think getting back her vision will help her regain some willpower as she worries so much about her eyesight and is always afraid to be left alone even for a few minutes.
