Help Ironwood Farm Create a Community & Crew Space
At Ironwood Farm in Ghent, NY, we regularly welcome our community to visit, enjoy, learn and experience farming and the Certified Organic food we grow. Every week we host a mixture of our CSA customers, pick-your-own gardeners, school classes, volunteers, farmers, chefs, politicians, our families, or just a friendly drop-in guest. And while we are about 9 years into this, it's only just becoming apparent that we have nowhere for people to sit, eat, rest, and enjoy the beauty of the farm!
We're running a fundraiser to partner with 15-year old entrepreneur and talented craftsman Cruz of Cruz Luis Wood Products to build Ironwood 5 picnic benches (one of which will be wheel chair accessible) and 6 Adirondack chairs. Our goal is to create an inspiring and comfortable place for our growing community to gather, including Thursday's CSA Food Truck events. Also, we want to give our crew a place to rest and recoup after a long day (they work SOOO hard!)
We sincerely thank you for considering a contribution to this fundraiser that will enrich local community gatherings, support a young entrepreneur, and care for our crew.
About Cruz Luis and His Awesome Woodshop Business
Cruz, a local Hudson lad, has honed his craft of making tables, chairs, and other high-quality wood products by rolling up his sleeves and getting to work. He started during the pandemic to compliment his remote learning program. He's become a mainstay in the Hudson business community, providing a much-needed service for residential and commercial customers. We are inspired by his talent, initiative and drive to support his local community and environment. We can't imagine a better partner to help us build this community space!
If you are in need of a picnic table, you can reach Cruz at his instagram cruzluiswoodproducts .
About Ironwood Farm
Ironwood Farm is a collaborative effort by farmer-owners Lauren Jones and Aliyah Brandt, their families, and the crew towards learning about the natural world and caring for people through food. We gain access to these ends through the production of Certified Organic Vegetables and Herbs which we provide for CSAs, Rhinebeck Farmers Market, and close relationships with local food entrepreneurs and restaurants. Our farm is situated in Ghent, NY and is a women-owned and operated business.
