Isabella A Cappella - 40 Years of Harmony

Donation protected
Lismore acapella choir is in its 40th year of making music!

Isabella A Cappella was founded by the late Isabel Atcheson in 1984 to give students and staff at The Northern Rivers College of Advanced Education (now Southern Cross University) a chance to sing and perform together. Since then it has nurtured over 150 vocalists from the Northern Rivers region and helped them develop into more confident and well rounded musicians.

Sadly, our funding from SCU was cut in 2021 and the choir has been struggling to survive since then with our musical director Grace Cockburn donating her time and expertise.

2024 is our 40th year and Isabella A Cappella is reigniting our presence in the Northern Rivers community. We will be recording and releasing an album, hosting a 40th anniversary celebration gig and embarking on a musical-friendship tour of Japan.

The choir has a long legacy of musical friendship tours to Japan and we need your help to get us there!

Your generous donations will go towards:
-Recording and producing an album of all Australian and New Zealand music
-Help fund our planned musical friendship tour of Japan

During the tour we will promote and sell the album as well as build on long standing relationships and help keep the legacy of Isabella A Cappella alive!

Even through lockdowns and restrictions on group singing, we've managed to survive:
