Help Isabella Heal and Thrive After LBUSD Schools Negligence
Donation protected
On Friday September 6th, my 6 year old niece Isabella Serrato was at school, Bryant Elementary in Long Beach. She somehow managed to leave the school unsupervised. she made it a couple blocks down termino before she was struck by a car attempting to cross Anaheim St.
We are thankful to god she is alive, but is banged up pretty badly. She is currently hospitalized at Long Beach Memorial Hospital .
Isabella has Autism Spectrum Disorder with limited speech. We believe she escaped from school trying to go to her father’s house down the street on Termino. Her father, my brother Cecilio Serrato recently passed away on June 5th 2024. Leaving Bella struggling to truly understand his loss.
We are kindly asking the community to support Bella’s recovery as her Mother Daisy Campos cares for her. Daisy is unable to work at this time and the unforeseeable future. Bella will need Physical Therapy to recover from her injuries. We are unsure if Bella will be able to return to LBUSD, as they are unable to properly care for her or ensure her safety. She escaped a small special needs class setting where she was supposed to have an aid with her at all times. We refuse to put her at risk by returning her to LBUSD school without necessary changes.
We would like to thank you in advance for your kindness extended through donations and words of support .
