Help Isaiah with his Covid-19 recovery.

For all of us 2020 has been a year of unexpected changes, a new normal, and unfortunately,  life changes that are forever.  This is ever so true for Isaiah Whalum.  On March 21, 2020, Isaiah's life would never be the same.  He was admitted to Williamson County Medical Center after contracting Covid-19.  The Covid-19 medical team doctors told him, that if he was not put on the ventilator, he would not survive.  From emergency dialysis to blood transfusions and being on the ventilator for 3 1/2 weeks,  Isaiah woke up on April 29, 2020!

Since that time until now, Isaiah's recovery is quite the journey.  His doctors and rehabilitation team work very closely with his treatment for life after Covid-19.  Isaiah is on his last stretch  of physical therapy and will be facing the next chapter of recovery, which is strength training, endurance, and core training.  As we have learned, Covid-19 takes a toll on survivors that have experienced the full blow of the virus.  With the winter starting, the affects of Covid-19 on Isaiah's respiratory system is tough.  He lost 40% of lung function due to the virus as well as extreme joint pain that affect his mobility.   Isaiah's ability to train and work out have been limited.  Isaiah needs a personal trainer that understands his recovery process and equipment that will help him to train within the boundaries' that he's confined to for the moment in this next chapter of life.  With the health challenges, Isaiah's ability to work is non-existent for now.  Isaiah still has the responsibilities of the financial needs of the his family as well.  Unfortunately, there is no pause button for these things due to life circumstances.   Isaiah was working in the culinary field as a popular chef in his community.  He's optimistic on returning to his passion, but for now its a long ways off.

There is always a great sense of urgency with financial difficulties, especially in this pandemic.  Isaiah and his family are grateful for the help that they have received but more is needed.  The help is needed now!  In recovery, there can't be any lapse in training because it will be a major set back.  To avoid this, the call for help is immediate.  Your donations will help Isaiah and his family to put a dent in some of their expenses that are mounting due to his recovery from Covid-19.  Your donations will help in assisting in Isaiah's physical recovery by obtaining  equipment and other things needed in this process.

Even if you can't donate with money, you can still help Isaiah!  Well wishes, thoughts, and prayers are powerful tools.  Continue to send them to Isaiah and his family.  If you can donate, the part the you will play in his recovery will inspire and motivate him to continue to strive for the mark.  Currently, Isaiah is pushing everyday to be better than he was pre-Covid-19 and if you know him, you know he does not quit or give up easily!  This  call for help is one of great seriousness.  Not just for the success of Isaiah but for the countless people that have been inspired by his story and for those that continue to follow his progress.   Let's help lift up someone who is always willing to lift, encourage, and cheer on so many others without a fail.  Isaiah is the underdogs champion and has never counted anyone out, so please help count him in for this major win in his life.
