Help Islam's Family of 6 to Survive and Rebuild in Gaza
Donation protected
Islam Salman Abd Raoof Al-Khalili and her husband Hatem Asaad Ibrahim Al-Khalili and their 4 children: Lina 13, Ali 11, Abdul 10, and Nour 4 are living in the north of Gaza City in the destroyed Al-Tuffah neighborhood.
Here is Islam’s story, in her words:
My children suffer from hunger, poverty, and fear… and only eat one meal a day. We cannot find food. Northern Gaza is dying of hunger. We have not tasted the taste of vegetables and fruits for 10 months since the beginning of the war. We suffer from anemia due to malnutrition. We get very tired when we bring water from a far place to our home. Cooking also required wood, which is also expensive and we cannot buy it. The thing we suffer most from is starvation. The occupation destroyed the infrastructure, water, electricity stations, and agricultural lands. It has also forced us to move from one place to another”
Lina, Ali, Abdul, and Nour haven’t been in school since last October and are suffering anemia due to the lack of healthy and fresh food. Hatem is unable to work as a plasterer and decorator because there are no jobs. They walk long distances to get water and charge their phone and flashlight.
From the organizer:
My name is Neha Chheda, I reside in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and I am fundraising on behalf of Islam and her family after a friend befriended her niece online. Currently, they are sheltering in Northern Gaza in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood. All funds will be transferred to Islam and her family upon necessity.
Islam, Hatem, and their children have lost everything in this ongoing genocide. Their home was destroyed, Hatem cannot work, the children cannot go to school, and they struggle to get food, water, and medicine. They are currently surviving off of canned food and have to carry water far distances. These funds will help them to purchase daily necessities, and rebuild their lives and home when the time comes.
Details and Logistics:
The funds will be transferred to Islam's brother Hassan Almashhrawe who is also in Gaza, via a secure US Bank that does international transfers. These funds will help the ease of the struggle of daily living as displaced people until the occupation leaves and they can restart their lives.
