Support Iva Lee's Battle Against Long Covid

The Still Coviding community of Texas has started this GoFundMe to help San Antonio Still Coviding Facebook Founder Iva Lee in her battle against Long Covid. 

Iva has been battling chronic illness and Long Covid for years. Iva is a devoted mother of 6, a special educator (now unable to work due to chronic illness), and wife. For over a decade, Iva has battled chronic and disabling autoimmune and degenerative diseases, immune disease, and blood clotting disorders. 

Due to multiple chronic and debilitating conditions, Iva struggles to do simple tasks that so many of us take for granted. Caring for and homeschooling her youngest two children while her husband works full-time is exhausting and drains Iva so much that she is often confined to bed or home, and is forced to utilize devices for walking assistance, like wheelchairs. Despite all this, Iva spends time promoting Covid and Long Covid awareness through her Still Coviding group and other groups. Iva cares for others immensely and uses her limited energy to help others, which is the sign of an extraordinary, empathetic person. 

Iva has been diagnosed with the following ailments, among others: 

- Long Covid from only ONE infection

- POTS

- Rheumatoid Arthritis

- Sjogren's Disease

- Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS)

- Raynaud's Syndrome

- Blood clotting disorder Von Willebrand Disease (VWD)

- IgM deficiency 

- Chronic anemia and vitamin deficiency

Iva's doctors have told her she needs expensive imaging for the worsening conditions she is dealing with, including for Long Covid. The family's insurance does not cover most of the cost of the imaging, and it is a struggle each month to make ends meet on one salary. Medical bills are piling up as Iva tries to get help. 

If you know Iva, you know she is not one to ask for anything. Let's come together and help someone who helps others within the Still Coviding community, and alleviate some of her and her family's stress by raising money for this imaging so they can focus on what's important—getting Iva to feeling better.
