Help Ivan Sanchez go to Model UN conference

My name is Ivan Sanchez Guzychenko, I am 15 years old, and I believe that I can make the world a better place. I dream of becoming a great diplomat, with my motivation being my family. This fundraiser will help me go on a school trip to a Model United Nations conference in Amsterdam next year.

I live in Cancun, Mexico. My dad is Mexican and my mother is Eastern European. I have seen the terrible effects of when peace fails, in Europe and so many other places in the world. But, they’ve also inspired me to get into the world of diplomacy, because war is something no one should ever experience.

I like to spend my time learning about politics, history, philosophy, and the latest events around the world. I want to study International Relations, and one of the best places to start in all of this is a Model United Nations conference (MUN).

My school happens to hold a MUN every year, and I am involved in organizing this year’s conference. Last year, I participated for the first time as a student, and I won the award for best position paper in the Human Rights Committee. 

My school also organizes trips to go to MUNs in other places. This year, the plan is to go to Amsterdam around April 2024. As students, we have to cover all expenses on this trip. The school organizes the flights, hotel, museum entrances, and conference costs, which will cost around $2,000 dollars. I am also responsible for any other expenses including food.

I am working hard to raise money by myself, but I also really appreciate every bit of help I get from you. I will invest all of the funds raised in my future, and the future of the world.

Since gofundme can’t work from Mexico, this fundraiser was set up by a good friend of mine in the US that will transfer all of the funds raised directly to me.
