Help Ivy cross the rainbow bridge
Donation protected
My sweet, 12-year-old Husky named Ivy is nearing the end of her life, and I need approximately $600 to help make her final arrangements and ease her passage across the proverbial Rainbow Bridge. Money raised from this GoFundMe will be used to put her to sleep and cremate her ashes that will be used in different objects to preserve her memory in our family.
Ivy overcame low odds of survival by being born and raised the first few weeks of her life in a puppy mill, and I helped give her a fighting chance. And in return for saving her, Ivy has been my side kick for the last dozen or so years and has shown me unconditional love through life’s hardest moments. When I was pregnant with Lilly, she laid with me and kept her head close to my belly as a sign of love and protection. She has provided physical protection as well as mental and emotional support through many other trials and tribulations I’ve faced since getting her, and she doesn’t deserve to suffer any longer.
In August, she was diagnosed with a massive tumor, and because of her age and its location, chose not to follow through with surgery. Medicine has helped, but other symptoms and signs of her age are beginning to overtake the tumor, including her mobility, memory, and social skills.
The last year has been one of my most challenging, losing my grandmother, changing jobs, and dealing with prolonged bouts of sickness.
Any and all help would be appreciated, as well as best wishes as we navigate through yet another difficult period in our lives accepting the inevitable loss of our furry best friend. Thank you for your support!
