Help Izzi Overcome Her Unexpected Setback

Hello-- My name is Isabel.The people who love me call me Izzi. I am a single Mother of three boys and encountered a frightning, unexpected setback.

We live high in the Andes Mountains. Last Saturday, June 8th, I drove my 1996 Mitsubushi Montero into the city for a doctors appointment. When we returned to the parking lot my car had been stollen. The attendant said a guy walked up to him, gave a tip, unlocked the car and drove away. He thought he was with me. I bought the car ten years ago and it has been our life line for transportation here in the mountains. The police offered little hope that I will ever see my car again. I only had required liability insurance on this old car.

With no help from the police it was suggested to me to post on social media. I contacted several people who have social media accounts and to my surprise two of my contacts called me and told me they found my car. My brother and I called the number and was told they would return the car for 4.000.000 Peso ($1000.00USD). We were to call them the following day and arrange a meeting place. My brother was to inspect the car and I was to transfer the money. All seemed to be going well when I got a call that my brother is being held at gun point and they would kill him if I did not transfer 12.000.000 pesos. Myself and others here were on the phone for over two hours.The thiefs kept screaming that they were going to shoot my brother if I did not pay. I did not have access to that much money. Finally, they agreed on 6.000.000 pesos and I was desparate and raised the extra needed. I look back now and should have got the police involved. When they recieved the money they disconnected. A few minutes later my Brother called. He never went to inspect the car. They kept him on the phone for two hours saying the car was in route and if he disconnects they will not deliver the car. He was never in Danger. Needless to say-- We were all relieved that our family was safe.

I manage to support my family but do not have any reserve to buy another suitable car.
