Help Izzy Get a Kidney

Hello my name is Tammy Martin and I am setting up this fundraiser for my daughter Izzabella "Izzy" Martin. Izzy is an extremely active teenage girl. She is a sophomore and attends Upward Bound program at the local University. Izzabella is a cheerleader at her High School with the world's best coach and fellow teammates that have been so supportive. In May 2021, Izzy began having pain in her sides and back. She was taken to the Children's Hospital in Colorado Springs and later transferred by ambulance to the Children's Hospital in Denver. Her creatine levels were extremely high and her kidney function was extremely low. Izzy has gone through multiple tests to try and determine a diagnoses. After a couple of months with no answers we decided to have genetic testing done. Izzy was diagnosed with Nephronophthisis Type 1. This genetic disorder only affects 1 in a million people and is very hard to diagnose. There is no cure for this disorder. Izzy's kidney function will continue to decrease. Izzy will need a kidney transplant most likely within the next 6 months to year. We have been told that our insurance will not cover a lot of the cost and to plan on having $200k to $400k bill following the transplant. Izzabella has a kind heart and she is a loving person to everyone she meets. She is also a Christian and a strong believer in her faith. She has not complained once since her diagnosis and continues to try to be as normal of a teenager as her body will allow. We as a family of 6 appreciate any help that you can provide but beyond money we ask that you pray for our sweet daughter as we know prayer heals all!!
