URGENT Help Father Evacuate His Children from Gaza

Hello Family, Friends and Kind Supporters,

My name is Jennifer Gana. I currently live in Louisville, KY, USA. I am helping my friend Salama Abulehia. Salama currently lives in Athens, Greece. [UPDATE: recently moved to Belgium to apply for asylum for his children, wife and himself. Keeping rest of bio for backstory purposes] He traveled right before Oct 7th for a job opportunity. He is struggling to raise the funds to pay the evacuation fees for his family in Gaza while also keeping up with the pressure of daily expenses required to purchase humanitarian aid.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: currently there are no evacuations taking place due to border crossings being closed. Any funds raised for evacuation fees will be used once evacuations resume.

Our friend Jace and I are starting this campaign to raise $20,000 for Salama’s goal of sending money to support his wife and children in Gaza as well as covering their evacuation fees. Please consider subscribing to this campaign by making weekly or monthly donations. It is going to take a village and ongoing supporters to reach the $20,000 goal. Once a border crossing reopens, Evacuation costs approximately $6,500/adult and $3,000/child. I say approximately because Egypt adds fees that vary. We will know the final cost once Salama contacts the agency to place the names on the evacuation list.

This campaigns beneficiary is our friend Jace. He was willing to use his bank account to collect the donations and send to Salama in Greece. Salama isn’t able to open an account in Greece yet due to immigration paperwork still being processed, so until he has his own, we offered to help him.
