Help Jacinta get a family car
Dear community,
It’s hard to ask for help when we feel we should just push through and try and make it work on our own.
Jacinta is one of a kind who has a heart of gold, who showed up to help me when I was very ill and bed ridden last year. With wholesome food and her unconditional loving support.
With one child being severely disabled and another on the spectrum stress levels are now at an all time peak.
Jacinta has been through and survived several traumatic events in her life, and she has always found a way to get over them. This time it's hit her hard, and she has no means of dealing with it on her own.
She didn't anticipate a catastrophic financial loss of all her savings and family tax benefits to a shady private vehicle salesman.
Because it was a private sale she has no legal leg to stand on. She did have some legal rights around the salesman trying to cover it up, but doesn't have the money to pursue court fees
Jacinta then borrowed money from her neighbour to send a demand notice, which cost $800 for a lawyer to serve the previous car owner, he didn't respond and Jacinta had no more money to take this matter to court.
housebound with five children to care for
Jacinta has exhausted all her money on this car and has just scrapped it for $1000. She has $1250 towards a new car, any donations are greatly appreciated. With being a stay-at-home parent and carer, her chances of a small loan are nil. Jacinta has limited support around her, no family living close by to help with transport.
Jacinta has reached her breaking point, stressing how she will make important appointments all over Brisbane for her disabled children let alone getting from A to B.
I want to help take some of this burden off Jacinta’s shoulders and let her know everything is going to be ok.
