Jack & Lucy are climbing Kilimanjaro!
Donation protected
Hi Everyone! On the 12th February myself and Jack will be trekking Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest freestanding mountain in the world. We are humbled to take on this challenge to raise money for King’s College Critical Care and Harefield Hospital.
We both hope to summit Kilimanjaro in honour of everyone that helped saved my sister in law, Somaa’s life in August. On the 15th August I took Somaa to King’s A&E completely unaware of how poorly she was. Somaa was in heart failure and suffered a cardiac arrest - within hours she was in a coma needing ECMO. Somaa spent 6 days in Kings Critical care when the decision was made to transfer her to Harefield Hospital ICU for a possible heart transplant and further specialist support.
There are no words to express the profound gratitude we feel towards King’s Collage Hospital & Harefield Hospital, who got her through every hurdle. After 32 days in Critical Care & a further 22 days on a ward we had Somaa home, back with her daughter where she belongs.
Any donations big or small will be hugely appreciated - A massive thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Lucy and Jack
