Help Jackie Rebuild After Eaton Fire Loss

On January 8, 2025, our dear Aunt Jackie lost her beloved home in Altadena, CA, to the devastating Eaton Fire. She woke up and went about her daily routine, but just hours later, she was forced to evacuate.

With less than an hour to gather her belongings, she faced the heartbreaking task of deciding what to leave behind. In the chaos, she managed to escape with only the clothes on her back and a vehicle to get to safety.

The Eaton Fire left her home in ruins, taking with it cherished family memories and essential belongings. What was once a place of warmth and love is now a pile of ash. While the family is grateful to be safe, they find themselves starting over with no furniture, no clothing, and no household items—only their vehicles and the support of friends and family. This also displaced other family members that were living in the home and caring for her, including her grandson Amondo and her nephew Antar (my stepfather) and his wife Jennifer (my mother).

Jackie has always been known for her generosity and community spirit, quickly offering help to those in need. Now it is our turn to support her during this trying time.

Having lived in her home for over 40 years, Jackie is in a state of shock. She just lost her husband, and she recently underwent hip surgery and has another procedure scheduled in just two weeks. Let's rally together to help her rebuild what she has lost.
