Help Jackie with her spinal surgery.
Donation protected
Hi there my name is Jackie. I am 63 years old and have worked as a qualified nurse for 27 years. I have been very lucky to have had good health for most of those years. The last 3 years I have been unlucky with injuries, accidents and 2 surgeries. A fractured wrist, a torn meniscus, a partial knee replacement and most recently a broken leg in July 2021.
During wearing my fracture boot I developed sciatica, lower back pain and a numb foot with electric shocks up my leg.
My MRI shows compression to 4 nerve roots.
I have seen a neurosurgeon who states I need surgery at a cost of £12,000 to £14,000 for decompression. I can have this surgery in 5 weeks or less privately. The NHS wait time is 1 year minimum. This is not an option for me as I care for my husband.
I want to get back to the job I love and look after my husband in the way I would like. I am unable to drive at present which makes daily living very difficult.
I would appreciate any donation, however small.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my page.
