Help Jackie’s fight against breast cancer

On March 24th, 2020 Jackie was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC), a very aggressive type of breast cancer. This diagnosis has come as a complete shock especially since her daughter, Kira, was diagnosed exactly three months prior with ER/PR+ Her2- Breast Cancer. Until her own diagnosis, Jackie spent several weeks over the winter flying from Portland to San Francisco to be with Kira as she began her treatments.
Over the next 8-10 months, her treatment will involve several rounds of chemotherapy, a masectomy, and radiation therapy. All of these treatments could change or be prolonged depending on how her body and the cancer reacts.
A testament to her immense strength and love of teaching, Jackie is still working as a special education teacher for the North Clackamas School District. She also devotes time to her friends and family and spends as many hours as she can with her grandchildren. As most of you know, Jackie is incredibly positive and kind, and there is no doubt that she will fight this with every ounce of strength that she has!
This GoFundMe page has been set up to help support Jackie for the months of treatment that are ahead. The money raised will be used to help Jackie and her family pay for out-of-pocket expenses that a diagnosis of cancer often involves.
