Hi.
My name is Emma.
On June the [email redacted] noon, my friend's dog, wee Jack-Jack was viciously attacked in the Burdiehouse Valley Park, Edinburgh. He is a small, white Coton de Tulear.
Jack-Jack was attacked because the owner of the dog was unable to keep control of his own dog. Jack-Jack was on lead when this dog attacked him from behind, resulting in Jack-Jacks leg being torn from the skin. The owner after, punching his dog, repeatedly in the head until the dog let go, then hurried off with his dog. My friend was fortunate enough to be surrounded by passer bys who encircled her and the dog to prevent any further attacks from happening. These kind and wonderful people helped her to the vets and waited until she came out. Simone and Jimmy, eternally gratefull, thank you!
Jack-Jack has been in the vet hospital since that date. My friend has insurance which will pay out £5000. Unfortunately due to set-backs, due to infection, the Vet bill as it stands is £14000, but could escalate.
This post is not just to raise funds for our Jack-Jack but is to raise awareness of this dangerous dog.
This dog has already attacked a dog and a child and has been reported to the police. The dog is named Gunner, a large tan bull breed and is already known to the police.
Jack-Jack means the world to everyonne who knows him. He is not only a loved pet, he is part of the family. Very sociable and loveable. We can take him anywhere. For my friend, who has fibromalgia, Jack-Jack gives her hope, purpose and reason to help her through the day. He is a complete therapet and missed by everyone. He reguarly visits an Edinburgh care-home, surrounded by people with dementia and complex needs.
Please would anyone be willing to help raise funds, awareness and pass this on?
