Help Jack's Family Pay Off their Credit Card Debt

Hi, I'm Jack and my mother and I need your help.

My mom lost her job in 2018 when the department store chain she was working at went out of business. It was around the same time that my father was diagnosed with Fuchs Dystrophy and diabetic retinopathy, which greatly impaired his vision and made everyday tasks hard to do. Because of my father's diagnoses my mother stayed home to help take care of him. Since there was little income (unemployment benefits) coming into our house at this time, major expenses and grocery bills were paid with credit cards or using my mother's life savings which has completely depleted over the course of the last 6 years. Although my father did have some corrective surgery on his eyes, his vision continue to deteriorate.

In 2019 my father was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease, a complication which developed as a result of his type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, my father was unable to regularly visit a kidney specialist in person due to his compromised immune system which was partially responsible for his declining kidney function which as of 2022 was at 15%. By September of 2023 his kidney function had fallen to 8% and he disregarded the warnings of his physicians to seek hospitalization. Over the course of the next 6 months his health continued to decline until he was hospitalized in February of 2024 and passed away in early March.

Since my father's death, my mother has gone back to work, however, her income and social security is not enough to pay all the bills we were left with. My father did not have any life insurance. My mother is in her late 60’s and has a heart condition which limits the amount of hours she can work. We do not qualify for government assistance and within the next 2 months we will have a difficult time paying the bills and buying groceries.

I want to get a job, but I am currently unable to do so because I am suffering from severe migraines and joint related health issues that make working a regular job incredibly difficult. I wish that I was able to help my mother pay our expenses, but because of these factors I'm unable to do so.

It is for these reasons that I am asking for your help. Any amount of money donated will greatly assist my mother and I in paying our credit card debts that we have been unfortunately left with.
