Help Jacob Attend Open Jar Broadway Intensive

Hello! I'm Jacob Haen, and as many of you know, I am pursuing my BFA in Musical Theatre at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Here, I have had the freedom to hone my skills as I create my acting career. I have also been given a fantastic opportunity to attend Open Jar Institute's Summer Musical Theatre Intensive.

This past January, I attended KCACTF Region V where I was both a singing and dancing finalist in the MTI Cabaret. More information about the KCACTF MTI Caberet can be found here. At the end of the week, I was presented with a scholarship and admitted into Open Jar Institute for their Summer Musical Theatre Intensive.

Open Jar Institute's Summer Musical Theatre Intensive is "a week of high intensity workshops in acting, singing, dance, and audition techniques - all taught by Broadway professionals" in the heart of Times Square. It is "New York City's premiere Broadway actor training program, the Open Jar Institute provides select students intensive one-on-one training with some of Broadway's biggest stars, performers, directors, choreographers, agents and casting directors." This will be my first NYC experience. The price of tuition, housing, travel, and preparation is around $4,500. My goal is 2,500; however, I would appreciate any amount given. I am grateful for this opportunity and for the support of my friends, family, community, and mentors as I continue growing my craft and career.
