Help Jacob Hudson Heal After Brutal Attack

Donation protected
This is Jacob Hudson. To know him is to genuinely love him. On Thursday, April 3rd was Jacob’s 24th birthday. Unfortunately, everyone was working amongst our friends so we decided to celebrate him Friday, April 4th. We went to Flying Heart Brewery in West Monroe and after decided to go out to Downtown Ruston.

We all continued to celebrate Jacob until most of us headed on home. Two of our friends and Jacob were left at the restaurant. When Jacob went to leave the restaurant one of our mutual friends (a women) was uncomfortable going to her car and Jacob being the gentleman he is noticed and followed her to her car to be safe. At some point, after the girl left, the guys wouldn’t leave Jacob alone. At this point our two friends walk out to leave. The guys were so angry just wanting to pick a fight they picked him up and slammed him on the ground while men continued to all beat him up. 8-10 were involved. Our two friends tried to stop them (NOT fight back resolve the situation) but that’s still double the men. After beating him they left him laying on the concrete bleeding, and severely injured.

Our friends bring Jacob to the ER, he gets transferred to Jackson, Mississippi and wasn’t treated for his injuries (this was hours and hours after the incident). After long hours of suffering his mom & sister drive him to Shreveport from Jackson desperate to get him help. He is now at Willis-Knighten recovering from surgery getting three plates placed into his jaw. He has a very long road to recovery and won’t be able to eat for a few months. Willis-Knighten has been AMAZING!!

Jacob’s presence is a reminder of the beauty in kindness, and I am truly grateful for his friendship and the warmth he brings to my life. His whole family has always treated me as one of their own and have the kindest hearts.

Since he is now unable to work, all bills, food, and care will fall on his mom, Amy Fullerton. I set this up to help them with meals, bills, and care throughout these next dark months. They would do everything they could for every other person and never ask for anything in return. Please keep them in your prayers!!!
