Help Jacob Lawson fight for fair labor standards

    I’m Sam Liedtke, fair labor advocate, and long time friend of Jacob’s. I started this go-fund-me because I want to help my friend to stand up to unfair labor practices, and further establish and solidify Utah’s union presence. Jake has been relentless in amplifying the voices of essential workers. He is passionate about equity, community, and justice.

    Unfortunately, Jake was recently terminated from his position at the Cottonwood Heights Starbucks he was instrumental in unionizing. He’s nothing if not persistent, though, and is continuing his involvement with his former coworkers, as well as movements more broadly.

    The funds raised by this go-fund-me will go to Jake to support him now that Starbucks has refused to, as he continues his work to strengthen our community.
