Please help Jacob stop worrying and work on his recovery.

Hi, my name is Juliet and I am fundraising for Jacob. He is my best friends 21 year old son and was viciously attacked on Friday 13th December by two men on a train. He was pushed through the train doors at the stop by one of the men, he landed on his back and suffered a fractured spine. He tried to get up to walk away from the men but collapsed on the platform. One of the men kicked Jacob in the head while he laid there unconscious, they left him for dead. The police called his fiancé who arrived at the scene to him screaming he can’t feel his legs. He is in hospital and as I write this cannot walk and is heavily medicated to help with the pain.

This Christmas should have been the best Jacob has ever had, it’s his daughter’s first Christmas and his fiancé is expecting their second child. Jacob is an amazing Dad, he dotes on his little girl, she and her Mum are his world. He is a wonderful provider for his family working as a self employed kitchen and bathroom fitter. He has no sickness benefits. It’s essential for his job that his back fully recovers.

There is no indication how long he’s going to be in hospital or how long until he can return to work. Instead of looking forward to Christmas he is worrying about how to pay his rent and bills. I know this is a bad time of year to be asking for donations, but whatever you can spare can go to help Jacob and his family concentrate on him getting well and not worry about their finances. 20th December update

Jacob and Cassie are overwhelmed by the show of love and kindness during a stressful time. Jacob says being able to pay the rent for a couple of months has lifted a huge pressure off his shoulders and lifted his spirits to focus on getting home for his daughter’s first Christmas. He sends his thanks to every single person.

And managed to power through the pain and take a few steps today !!
