Help Jade School of Dance after a fire at our studio
Donation protected
Jade Studios is a beacon in the community of Norris Green where people from the age of 1 to 90 years old can come and enjoy dance lessons. Unfortunately this week, it has been destroyed this week by a fire.
On Wednesday 19th March, the fire services notified the principle of the Jade School of Dance (Louise) that a member of the public had started a fire on the wasteland next to where our building resides. The fire then engulfed a large section of our dance studio, completely destroying our largest teaching space, our specialist acrobatic mats and tumble tracks, our sound systems and left the rest of the building with horridfic smoke damage.
The destruction also included the stage where Paul McCartney and John Lennon first performed together. In October 1957, John and Paul first performed together on this stage as The Quarrymen and visitors from all over the world would still pay homage to the historical site. (See picture)
We are absolutely heartbroken and this leaves our dance school in a difficult position to try and rebuild our building and replace our specialist equipment.
Our dance school is a safe space where children are nurtured through dance and drama and have been decades. We are so proud of all that we have achieved. We have represented Liverpool on stages at the West End and Disney land Paris and this weekend we were set to host a community dance event which has now had to be cancelled.
We need your help to get us back on our feet and provide the dance lessons we so love to our community. The inconceivable actions of one person should not impact the lives of the many children and adults whom this community serves. Any donation will help and will be so much appreciated by the children and adults who love this dance school like a second home.
