Help Jakar Get the Training He Needs
Tax deductible
Dear Friends and Supporters, Some of you may remember Jakar, our lovable one-year-old puppy who was rescued from a park in Queens back in September. Initially placed in a foster home, we faced the threat of the foster returning him to the shelter. Thankfully, we found another foster family, but unfortunately, they can no longer dedicate the time he needs due to their work commitments. Jakar is such a good boy, but like any young pup, he requires some basic training and a nurturing environment where he can thrive. Evaluations from several trainers confirm that he is a typical one-year-old with plenty of energy and potential. While he gets along well with the resident dog in his current foster home, he spends the majority of his day in a crate and desperately needs more time outside. To set Jakar up for success, we believe enrolling him in a board-and-train program is essential, alongside seeking a new foster or adopter who can provide the time and attention he deserves. We have secured a spot for him in a fantastic training program in upstate New York, where he will have the chance to receive the exercise, structure, and training he needs. Unfortunately, this expense is beyond what our rescue can currently cover, and we need your help. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go a long way in ensuring that Jakar receives the care he deserves. Thank you for your kindness and support in giving this sweet boy the chance to find his forever home! We cannot leave him where he is at the moment and putting this young guy in boarding is not an option. With gratitude,
