Help Jake Find Happiness Amidst Illness
Donation protected
Over the last several weeks, Mike Vaughan’s 13-year-old son Jake has been very sick. It started out as flu-like symptoms, then swelling began in his neck area, followed by dizziness, and then what doctors believed was a blood infection. After several weeks, his son was admitted to Children’s Hospital in Seattle on the 17th of January, this past Friday evening. After some additional procedures and testing, he went in for surgery on Monday evening January 20th to remove lymph nodes underneath both arms. The initial diagnosis is believed to be cancer of the lymph nodes but will be confirmed by the medical team once testing has been confirmed and completed.
Our Solera Project Team would like to raise money for his son to use on whatever items he would like to purchase given the very difficult circumstances he is facing. No child should have to endure such a potentially catastrophic prognosis at his age, or anyone for that matter. To boost Jake's spirits who is normally otherwise a very active, normal young boy, we would like to extend the offer for you to donate an amount which you are comfortable donating in this effort.
To be clear, this is not a request to raise dollars for medical expenses; rather an effort to make a young boy’s life a little less stressful, and as normal as possible given the circumstances. Our goal is to raise $2000.00 by the 24th, 2025. We are only asking those of you who Mike Vaughan has worked closely throughout this project, and over the years to help support in this effort.
We appreciate everyone’s consideration in this endeavor to make Mike’s son smile, and to have something to look forward when he is able to leave the Hospital. The Vaughan Family continues to be at Jake's side with Mike pulling day shift, and Mike's Wife covering the evening shift so Jake is not alone at anytime.
We pray for a full healing and recovery for Jake, and strength for the entire family!
