Help Jake Get A New Van

Recently, Jake was involved in a tragic accident that caused his van to roll at 65 mph on the freeway on his birthday. Miraculously, Jake was able to walk away with minor injuries, but the van was completely totaled. The other driver involved who had crossed over the solid lines and into Jake, fled the scene. Luckily, the vehicle behind Jake was able to witness this happen and follow the fleeing vehicle to get a plate and description. At this time, the person at fault for the accident is avoiding any contact with the police and there has been no resolution legally or with insurance. It is not looking promising.  Unfortunately, there was only liability insurance on the van. Insurance isn’t covering a single thing, not even the tow. Not only is this Jake’s only working vehicle, but it was the vehicle that we use all over Iowa for our small business. We are at a deep loss, as we depended on this van in our every day life as well as with our business and livelihood. Not having a car, or any compensation for the van being totaled, is a huge blow to Jake’s economic stability. This go fund me is to recoup some of the costs from this tragic accident, and to help Jake get another van and get back on his feet. We have been blessed with a temp vehicle from some friends, but we cannot use this vehicle forever. If you are able, please help in whatever way you can, through donating, sharing, or both.
