Help Jake produce an independent comedy special

Hello friends and family! If you know me, you know I’ve been very focused on developing my stand up act for about 8 years now. It’s no secret that the stand up comedy industry has been hit pretty hard by the pandemic, and while already well established comedians with large followings have been able to continue making a living, the rest of us have gotten squeezed out. Despite a scarcity of stage time opportunities, I have continued to develop my headliner set to the point where I believe it is essentially finished and ready to be put on tape.

Thankfully, it’s less expensive now to produce high quality comedy specials than ever before. Not too long ago a comedian would need the support of a giant like HBO or Comedy Central in order to create a comedy special of real quality, but in the last year or two, independently produced YouTube comedy specials have launched more than a few comedians into relative stardom. I am highly confident in the quality of my material and my ability to perform, but in order to show the world what I can do, I need your help! My fundraising goal takes into account the costs of camera rentals, lighting, sound, venue rental, and editing in post-production. Any contribution you can make is so deeply appreciated. My set date for performance is February 27th, but due to current Covid conditions it could get pushed back a couple weeks, hopefully no more than a month, God willing.
