Help Jake recover from bleeding ulcer.
Donation protected
My name is Robin and I have the most beautiful, loyal, sweetest dog named Jake. Jake is an 8-year-old Pitbull. He has been my best friend my companion my protector, and my soulmate. Jake is the type of Pitbull that loves all animals. From kittens to mice to little birds in the yard. He has always been the sweetest boy. Jake was the dog that greeted all the foster dogs that I took in and helped guide them to adapting to living in a home.
Jake developed a small tumor on his bottom lip last week which I had removed and sent out to pathology. I am still awaiting the results of that, but the expense to have that procedure was $1,100. Unfortunately 4 days later Jake was not recuperating and was declining in his health. He has refusing to eat, and ended up having to be rushed into the emergency 24-hour animal care facility. They evaluated him, and found that he has blood in his stomach, is anemic, dehydrated, and has either a life-threatening bleeding ulcer or cancer. He has been admitted to the hospital. Jake now has a feeding tube put in, and they are dispensing his medications through an IV. As anyone can guess the cost of these veterinary procedures is exorbitant. Jake has been in the facility now for several days and I have already received a low estimate of $2,000.
They now needs to have an endoscopy done at a cost of $1,800 additional so that we can find out exactly what is wrong with him.
I now find myself having to ask for help as I have depleted all resources to fund the additional procedures that are needed.. Between his first surgery, and this new hospital stay, I am up to almost $5,000 in cost.
I understand that times are tough for everybody, but if you could find it in your heart to donate any amount to help in Jake's recovery I would be forever grateful. He is my 24/7 family and I can't imagine life without him. Thank you for taking the time to read my message and God bless you.
