Help Jake's Cafe Reopen After Fire

Hi everyone, I’m Nicki Shaw, the manager of Jake’s Cafe on 2nd St in Snohomish, and daughter of the owner, Donna Larson.

We opened Jake's just over 22 years ago and we haven’t stopped running and growing since! Through all these years, our customers have made us a great success. We pride ourselves on being a small, crazy busy, down-home business, where you are treated like family. Hopefully, if you’ve been in over the years, you know how hard our dedicated team works and can see the love we all have for our work and our many, many amazing customers. You all really become our friends, our family, and we truly miss seeing your faces!

On Nov. 4th, we suffered an accidental kitchen fire and have been closed since. We’re learning as the weeks go by, this has turned out to be a much bigger deal than anticipated, and taking longer than we ever thought. I’m sorry I do not have an exact opening date, but we’re working on it! We will open back up!

In all our years, we have never asked for help from the community, and never been in a position like this.

With out-of-pocket expenses building every day, personal funds drained, and our small staff out of work during the holidays, we’ve finally decided to reach out and ask for help.

If you or anyone you know can donate any amount, and/or share this post, I can’t describe how grateful we would be.

Any funds we receive would be going towards expenses needing to be paid so we can reopen our doors as soon as we possibly can.

Also, our amazing loyal staff, who hasn’t worked in over a month. Being able to bless each of them with funds to get through this tough time and help them give their families a nice Christmas would mean the world to all of us. We are a small, close group, and being able to keep all of our employees here at Jake’s during this time would be priceless.
