Jake and his Family Needs Your Support
Donation protected
Jake, a loving partner, father, son, brother, and friend, has suffered from anoxic brain injury ( lack of oxygen to the brain) and has been fighting for his life in the ICU at Wilcox Lihue Hospital since July 11th, 2024. While his heart continues to beat on its own, a long road to recovery lies ahead.
During this incredibly difficult time, Jake's girlfriend, Brandii, their beautiful 5-year old son, Elijah, his mother Kaulana, and brothers, Titus and Nainoa need all their strength to be by his side as one family unit.
We are reaching out to the community for your help.
Medical bills, travel costs, and everyday expenses can quickly become overwhelming when a loved one is in the ICU. Your contribution, big or small, will make a world of difference. Knowing their family is supported will allow the family to focus completely on Jake's recovery.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your generosity. Every contribution brings Jake and his family closer to healing.
Please share this GoFundMe page with your friends and family.
Together, we can help Jake and his family heal.

Update as of July 18, 2024 from Kaulana:
Today is day 6 that Jacob has been in the ICU unit. He is in stable condition. The ventilator is still assisting with his breathing. He is unable to breathe on his own. He does have spontaneous moments when he does breathe. Yesterday Jacob had a few baby steps toward recovery. The sedation was lowered so that his physicians would be able to observe if there was any cognitive activity. Jacob opened his eyes, squeezed the nurse’s hand, and wiggled his toes on command. I observed and felt in my heart that his responses were cognitive and he was following commands. This is a miracle blessed onto us by God. Jacob did have to be sedated again because the amount of damage to the brain is very significant and he needs more time to rest and heal. I am blown away and humbled by the outpouring of generosity love and support we are receiving. Please continue to pray and send healing light energy, we can feel it!!!
