This is James and Tom, Jazz Butcher fans. For the past couple of years, we've been trying to compile every piece of Jazz Butcher music that has never been released. Call it part of our grieving process since Pat passed away. We've been doing a pretty good job, but we know there's more out there. We want to uncover, discover, and share more of what Pat Fish, AKA the Jazz Butcher, has. Pat and Tom have had this discussion in the past about releasing the unreleased songs.

I do believe Pat was most critical of his own work. My running joke was to always request "Poor Spy," an original song that I thought was gold; Pat thought the opposite. Yet, he still sent it to me, and I still love it to this day. I'm sure there are other gems out there. This documentary will be sharing our adventure, our love for Pat Fish, and sharing your thoughts and feelings on the Butcher also. Pat was the soundtrack to our lives, a shining light in a dark world, and we aren't ready to let that light die out.

The Jazz Butcher was the alias of British singer/songwriter Pat Fish (20 December 1957 – 5 October 2021). It also served as the name of the band, though adjuncts were frequently used to distinguish between Fish’s persona and band itself (The Jazz Butcher Conspiracy or JBC, The Jazz Butcher Group, The Jazz Butcher and his Sikkorskis from Hell, The Jazz Butcher Quartet and The Jazz Butcher Quintet.)

The line-up of the band changed frequently throughout its history, with Pat Fish being the only constant. Notable members included band co-founder Max Eider (Peter Millson), David J.(Haskins), Owen P. Jones, Rolo McGinty, Alice Thompson, Paul Mulreany, Alex Green, Richard Formby, Kizzy O’Callaghan, Curtis E. Johnson and Peter Crouch.
