Please help Josh & Razz after a fire in their home

Hi Guys

On Tuesday morning my good friends Josh and razz had a house fire which has destroyed their kitchen and left the remainder of their house (upstairs and down) unlivable due to smoke damage and toxic fumes.

Unfortunately, with everything they had going on last year, Contents Insurance was overlooked and now they're paying the price.

Not even the contents of the drawers escaped smoke damage. So the mammoth task looms. They have to sift through everything they own and sort out what is salvageable and what needs to be thrown away. Building Insurance is covering rebuilding the back wall and roof over the kitchen and gutting everything downstairs.

Upstairs is being partially gutted and anything remaining is being cleaned & repainted. The soft furnishings, bedding and the clothes that can be washed within an inch of their lives, need to be soaked extensively, and washed, before they know if they can be saved, but furniture that can’t be washed or cleaned, will be thrown out.

The fact that they were EXCEPTIONALLY lucky, and that things could be so much worse, is not lost on them.

Their dog Meg was trapped inside during the fire and the Firies smashed the door in to get her out, but apart from breathing in the toxic smoke and being clearly traumatised by the whole thing, the Vet has given her the all-clear.

No one was hurt, and that is everything, but the job in the aftermath, remains.

We’ll be looking at replacing whatever we’ve lost down the track, so everything helps atm.

Never in a million years did they think they would be asking for this kind of help, but they need it.

The excess for the building insurance is $5000 alone, not including everything pretty much downstairs, even the air con unit melted.

Upstairs, we were there today, with masks, suits and gloves trying to see what we could save.

I've never seen so much black soot in absolutely everything, upstairs and downstairs

So if you have anything you could give, they would be so appreciative, I felt helpless for them being there today, trying to save part of their lives that has been ruined in a matter of hours
