Help Jamie Rose's Family After Tragic Accident
Donation protected
Update: Giving can continue even as goal is reached (thank you all! -read below) - Jamie suffered a tragic accident the morning after Christmas when his vehicle slipped on glare ice and rolled several times down a steep 50' drop. His neck was broken (C6), his spinal cord injury resulted in his paralysis from the chest down as the truck was totaled. Jamie used Siri to call 911; first responders arrived quickly, and a neurosurgeon (Dr. Fix) performed three surgical procedures in the first 30 hours after the injury. He is awake and lucid (no brain injury) he has begun to recover some limited sensation and movement in one foot and his arms after the surgeries and much prayer. The surgeon is pleased with his progress, and we continue to pray for a miraculous recovery. During his recovery period, his family will have a loss of income as Jamie is self-employed. He will have a lengthy rehabilitation process in Chicago, which will involve his wife Erica and three kids flying from Alaska to support him. All funds will go directly to the Rose family to assist with their expenses related to his injury: loss of income, recovery, and rehabilitation which may be up to two years. Even with his initial goal met, please feel free to give as you feel led as the expenses for this journey will far surpass the fundraising goal and will be long and significant.
Jamie has always been physically and mentally strong, capable, optimistic, and a problem solver. He is a man of faith, a good friend to many, and has a heart for helping others - now is an opportunity to lend him and his family support so they can focus on healing and recovery.
They have a bank account set up for the Roses for direct deposits/wire transfers and if you want to mail them a check, please message me if you need their address or have questions.
Thank you for your support for his family during this difficult time.
