Help Janae with Anorexia treatment Costs
Donation protected
In 2017 I was diagnosed with Anorexia. An eating disorder that is a hard disease to beat. I struggle with PTSD with severe anxiety that goes along with my eating disorder. I have spent the past few years in and out of treatment, with periods of doing well and then relapsing. This last relapse is the worst. Anorexia causes a lot of medical issues. For myself, my labs were off, my EKG wasn't where they wanted it to be. I had to be in the wheelchair, (which I absolutely hated lol), and get a feeding tube as much as I disliked. This disease affects your bones, heart, even your brain. One time when I came into treatment, I couldn't even remember the date no matter how many times I was told. The week before I came into treatment I had gotten so severely dizzy and light headed I fell at work and ended up in the ER. I'm currently in treatment, however we are having issues with our insurance that I might not be able to stay and receive the help that I need. I have fought so hard to GET the help I need, however I am currently not in a healthy space mentally where going home could be dangerous without the help and support I need here. I am at the Center For Change here in Orem, Utah with a wonderful treatment team is doing all they they can. However, sometimes no matter what, insurance still denies as hard as we fight it. Anorexia is a deadly disease. Collectively, eating disorders have the highest death rates among all mental illnesses. In most studies, anorexia nervosa has the highest mortality rate of the various eating disorders. I almost feel selfish for writing this and asking for help, but I honestly need all the help I can get. If you could donate, or even just share this it would mean so much and help a ton. Thank you all for taking your time to read this, you have no idea what it means to me!!
