Feb: Janelle is healing so well. Some may not realize but instead of taking implants you can use your own fat and nerves from the stomach. This is more invasive and requires a long recovery. Please continue to share this as she cant go back to work yet...thank you!!!

Hi everyone this is Julie, my sister needs some fundraising help.

Just last month in October she found out she has DCIS ( Ductal carcinoma stage 0) in her right breast. After all the tests and talking with so many doctors she has decided for a full mastectomy. Janelle is an amazing massage therapist and as you can imagine, this means , returning to work after her surgery will take alot more time than the average patient. She works very hard and supports herself as a single person. She has savings she worked hard for and this help is still greatly needed. With all the medical bills and still having to pay rent and daily expenses until she can work again, we are asking for the help of our family, friends, and community.

She would like to tell you now in her own words about her journey....

Hi, world. First off I would like to express my deepest gratitude in how family and friends and the greater community have shown up to offer support in so many ways. It is truly moving. I returned to the U.S. In Jan 2022 to start my life on a new path after being a 4th grade teacher in Laos for 8 years. I had to start all over again in getting settled and reclaiming my life in how I wanted to live, it took alot of strength and determination to get to where I am now in supporting myself and now my newest addition, Yeti my loyal love bomb, dog. I have a solid year of massage at a wonderful wellness resort under my belt and am thriving in the life I have created. I went in for a routine exam as it has been some time, and my first mammogram, DCIS was discovered. So, this brings us to the present.

These heart felt donations will help me pay my medical bills, that insurance does not fully cover as well as my deductible. Living expenses like rent, groceries and other bills that I can usually cover from working. I will be out of work for at least 6 weeks, easily longer. Maybe more like 8 weeks. This help supports me continuing to be financially independent and not lose my apartment or have to stress about finances while recovering.
