Help Janet Fight Brain Cancer

Imagine going into the last few weeks of your 40-year middle school teaching career, and finally preparing for the long-awaited retirement with your husband Glenn. When an unexpected tragedy hits… Janet had been dealing with minor vertigo and decided to get an MRI. The local hospital found a brain tumor and immediately sent them to Mass General Hospital where she could get the best world class medical care. They quickly did some testing and determined she had an aggressive brain tumor. The doctors at Mass General recommended an immediate and aggressive treatment plan. Janet and Glenn are now preparing to live in Boston, and start radiation and chemotherapy 5 days a week for 6 weeks. There will be significant medical expenses, some not covered by insurance, as well as living expenses during this time. Her family and extended “framily” are asking for your help in getting them through this very difficult time. All donations will be used exclusively to cover the above-mentioned costs. Janet is an incredible teacher, wife, mother, grandmother and friend! Janet has a beautiful, loving, family who are fighting right alongside her. She has positively touched and influenced countless children’s lives. During her teaching career, many of her students who are now adults, love how Janet made them feel special while guiding them to learn and grow. There is some light at the end of the tunnel…if they follow the aggressive treatment plan, they are hoping to get the cancer to go into remission or “go to sleep” as the surgeon put it.
