Help Janet Fight Mucosal Melanoma

Dear Family, Friends and Community,

My beautiful best friend of 46 years needs our help. Janet was diagnosed

with Mucosal Melanoma in January 2021. She has been unwavering in

her fight against this rare cancer. To this day she remains positive, focused,

present and determined to beat this disease. You can find out more

Janet is the very proud mother of Zachary and Hannah and the wife of her greatest supporter and amazing caregiver, Michael. Janet and Michael are expecting their first grandchild in mere weeks. Janet is a true lover of life! When she’s healthy, she enjoys hiking, fishing, kayaking, gardening, weekend trips in her “joey” (trailer) and giving back to her community with her time and many talents.

Janet has been trying to get into an out-of-state Tumor-Infiltrating Lymphocytes (TIL) clinical trial for months, as California does not have such a trial. Janet and Michael have

traveled to Houston, Louisville, and Orlando 3 times. She has been accepted into the Orlando trial and will be leaving Saturday for her 1st of 2 treatment trips. Their insurance is not covering this trial as it is out-of-state.

After two-plus years of several surgeries, radiation, immunotherapy, chemotherapy and

dozens of scans, their out-of-pocket expenses are enormous at this point.

In addition, Michael has been by her side every step of the way and, as a

result, has been unable to work for extended periods.

I am asking for your kindness, compassion and generosity to help Janet and

Michael if you can. The TIL treatment she will be receiving will not only

offer her a fighting chance but also provide her with the time she

deserves.
