Help Janice's Fight Against Cancer

Dear family, friends and the many clients and co-workers of our dear mother Janice.

We are reaching out to you with a heavy heart, but also with hope and determination. As some of you may know, our mother Janice was diagnosed with cancer the middle of January 2025. She underwent surgery shortly after to remove a tumour from her bladder. Unfortunately, the result from that surgery was our worst nightmare: that the cancer is fast growing and an aggressive form that will require the complete removal of her bladder, hysterectomy, her umbilical area, belly button, and some abdominal muscle and possibly a section of bowel.

Our Mother had started her chemotherapy treatments in preparation for the very serious and complicated surgery that lies ahead of her. Unfortunately, chemotherapy had to be terminated due to renal and thrombosis complications. She is currently being treated for a serious blood clot.

Janice is a very talented hairstylist with almost 50 years experience and was still working behind the chair up until her surgery. As a self-employed hairstylist she unfortunately does not have any insurances or sick leave to fall back on and she needs your help.

Any funds collected will go directly to her costly medications, living expenses, and household bills. We want to alleviate the financial stress this tragic news has put on her so she can focus on her upcoming treatments and surgeries without worry.

We understand that not everyone may be able to donate, but sharing this may reach someone with those means.
