Help Janine and Lyman Rebuild Their Lives

Two incredible individuals who have always been there for others need our help. Janine and Lyman, a couple known for their boundless generosity and compassion, have lost everything to the devastating floods caused by Hurricane Helene.

Janine and Lyman are the embodiment of selflessness and community spirit. They're the type of people who drop everything to lend a hand, no questions asked. Janine is always the first to respond to a call for help, putting everything on the line to support her friends, colleagues, and family. Lyman has spent much of her career caring for others, including the most vulnerable among us—critically ill newborns—as a NICU nurse. Anyone who has crossed paths with this remarkable couple can attest to the profound impact of their kindness.

Just two months ago, Janine and Lyman had moved back into their newly renovated home after repairing previous damage to their home. Tragically, Hurricane Helene's relentless flooding forced them to evacuate to Georgia, leaving behind everything they owned.

The aftermath has been heartbreaking. Their house was flooded with five feet of seawater. All of their furniture and appliances are destroyed. Cherished photos documenting their decade-long relationship have been lost. For the second time in just a few years, their possessions are piled in garbage bags on their front lawn.

Their home insurance will cover barely any of the destruction.
