Help Jared Rebuild After Devastating Robbery

Last night, Friday, August 30th, I was robbed at gunpoint as I was about to head home from my show at Tupelo SF.

Around 1:30 AM, after performing at Tupelo SF, I was walking back to my car when a white/silver sedan with four people inside pulled up beside me. A tall, 6-foot Latino man wearing a gray hoodie quickly approached me. At first, his hands were in his pockets, but then he pulled out a pistol. He pointed the gun at my forehead and shoved me against the trunk of my car. He tapped me with the gun and demanded everything I had, starting with what I was wearing. As I struggled to remove my silver chain, he snatched my glasses and yanked the chain off my neck.

He then took everything I was holding, including my phone and wallet. The man managed to open the trunk of my car and began taking my belongings—first my saxophone, then my backpack filled with all my camera gear. As he was loading my backpack into his car, I heard the group yell for him to grab another bag from my car. In that moment of distraction, I ran to the driver’s seat and started the car. As the engine started, I heard the group panicking and calling for the man to get inside. They fled before I could back up the car and see any license plate.

As painful as this is to write, I understand that this is the reality of living in a big city. I’m grateful to be alive, unharmed, and safe.

Below is a list of the items that were stolen:

-Yamaha Tenor Sax (red case with stickers) - $7,500

-Red Langly backpack - $200

-Sony A7C II camera with lenses - $6,000

-DJI Drone - $1,200

-Lights/cards/batteries - $1,000

If you see any of these items—especially my custom saxophone—on the market, I would greatly appreciate any assistance in getting them back.

Asking for help isn’t easy, but so much was lost in this incident that I’m left with little choice. If anyone is able to offer financial support, it would mean the world to me and would be deeply appreciated. Your generosity would help me start to rebuild what was taken.
