Help Jared weather the DA Campus shutdown
Donation protected
On March 16th, the De Anza College Campus shut down due to the COVID-19 shelter-in-place order. With no end to the order in sight, and all courses moved completely online for Spring, our friend Jared Forman won't be able to reopen his independent coffee business for the foreseeable future. He has been told he may not be able to reopen until September.
With his business shuttered, Jared is in need of our financial assistance to continue to provide for his daughter Saoirse and to pay his bills. Funds donated will go to rent, food, utilities, and other costs associated with living, and taking care of a toddler. If he is able to eventually reopen, funds will also help get the business back online. If he's out of business for 6 months, $10,000 would supply an income of $1,667 per month for Jared and his family.
Jared is a fixture at De Anza. POWER cUP coffee is a hub for our campus community; he keeps us caffeinated, or soothed with tea and hot chocolate, as we go about our work. He always provides a good story, a sympathetic ear, and excellent service. Let's support him during this time of great need.
