Help Jarrad relocate for health and education

For over a year I have struggled to find proper housing for my seizure service animal, Ripple & I in the Aspen area. Sleeping in my car/front seat & not having proper basic shelter caused my neurological issues to return to unstable levels limiting my ability to work & perform normal tasks over this period. This has resulted in us being completely homeless now & me being stuck in a vicious cycle of not being able to find work because I have no shelter or place for Ripple while working when homeless. And I cannot afford housing or returning to stability w/o being able to work.

I am working with all resources & assistance programs to help me improve or change my circumstances. Unfortunately it could be several months before even hearing back if there would be any options available to us. I am a fighter and am not afraid of hard work, but I need help to get back in the game. With support from my local resource recovery team I have developed my plan/goals on what my return to wellness looks like & what I need to make that happen.

The goal and plan is for me to get my fresh start in Denver...

Why Denver?:

1) Neurological & health necessities

My Neurosurgeon/Neurologist, Dr. Jon Oro, has returned to practice in Aurora. I need to be closer to the team who have treated me & can work with me to continue making sure my brain is healthy. Living at a lower elevation is also being recommended for my issues.

I also am in need of full mouth restoration that has deteriorated after battles with cancer & various ones (car wreck, seizures, TMJ, and many others) tied to my neurological disorders

2) Continue my education & training in wellness to support Hospitality Industry

Working with my teacher, Swami Ambikananda, Dawn Yager to pursue Yoga & meditation teacher certifications. She is also married to my life long best friend, we have known each other for almost 30 years & they recently moved to Denver from South Carolina. Being surrounded with and by loved ones is important to me and my return to form.

$3400-$4000 Relocating Jarrad & Ripple to Denver from Aspen

-$400-$500 Moving truck rental, gas & insurance for one way move

-$3000-$3500 First/Last/Security Deposit for studio in downtown Denver

Any funding above $4000 for relocation will be put towards Jarrad's on going medical needs.

$15,000+ of emergency dental work

$5,000+ for recommended neurological testing focused on informational gathering to figure out proper treatments & programs

Being a person who is used to helping and supporting others throughout life and now being on the flip side of that equation has become the hardest battle of my life. I thought I had this on my own but I don't I need & am worthy of support. I thought helping others during this struggle was a good strategy only to learn I chose that path because I feared or wasn't ready to do my own work/fight my own battles. I trusted others words promising help rather than taking action for myself.

Working with professionals & therapists have helped me regain my focus and love for myself. I no longer fear asking for help or feel embarrassed being in need of it. Going through this low point has forced my own personal growth to develop new skills and improved my communication both internally & externally. I want to be of service to others just as much as ever before. I am excited to be learning the necessary shifts/changes I need to make to do that authentically & successfully while loving and caring for myself simultaneously.
