Hello, my name is Quan Walker. I live in Kingwood, TX. I am organizing this GoFundMe for my dear friend Jasmine Morris, lovingly known as Jazimoto, who has suffered a devastating loss. I have known Jasmine all of her life. On the morning of January 8th, her home in Altadena, CA, was tragically destroyed in the Eaton Canyon fire.

Jasmine is a talented musician, composer, and producer who has spent her life dedicated to her craft and her community. She grew up in a household filled with creativity and artistry. Her father, Wilbur Morris, was a renowned jazz musician, and her mother, Mari Morris, is a celebrated visual artist and former art professor. Jasmine is classically trained in piano and violin and earned a violin scholarship to Chapman University. Her music journey has taken her from playing the piano her father gifted her to recording music for films, commercials, and collaborations with legendary artists like Teflon, DJ Premier, and M.O.P.

The fire claimed not only her home but also a lifetime of treasured possessions and essential tools of her craft, including:

* Her piano, gifted by her father.

* Her electric violin, gifted by her mother.

* The rare Stradivarius violin she used to audition for the Juilliard School in Manhattan, New York.

* Over 3,000 records, including original music recorded for films, commercials, and collaborations.

* MPC1000, JUNO G Keyboard, MIDI keyboard, studio monitors, Apple computers, Sony headphones.

* Essential software like Reason and ProTools.

* Music archives from years of work with artists such as Teflon, Planet Asia, and M.O.P.

She has not only lost her personal belongings but also the tools that enabled her to create and share her gift with the world. Rebuilding her life and career will require immense effort, and we are asking for your help.
