Help Jason and Courtney with IVF Journey
My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant. We have both said we would be great parents. Unfortunately, I have had several problems with this journey. I have thrombocythemia and this has caused me to have a bone marrow biopsy. My body makes too many platelets and there is no reason why. I also have anemia. When doctors locally didn’t listen I learned to “suck it up”, I started my journey locally, with surgery. After my first surgery in 2018 I was told I would never be able to have a child of my own. With this information I decided to leave the area and try a bigger hospital which brought me to the Cleveland Clinic. I started with a gynecologist. She preformed another surgery in 2019 and was able to make several diagnosis. I have endometriosis, which if anyone has this condition they know this comes with pain and bleeding. I married my wonderful husband in 2019 and we have been trying since then unsuccessfully to have a child of our own. In 2021, I was referred to an Infertility Unit at the Cleveland Clinic, the staff there have been very supportive in our journey to become parents. In March 2021, I had additional surgery and was placed on numerous medications. We, at this point, realized that getting pregnant was going to require IVF therapy. Our insurance unfortunately does not cover infertility treatments. We have to pay completely out of pocket, and although we both work multiple jobs, we have not been able to save enough to cover this expensive procedure. Any donations toward our treatment would mean the world to us. Thank you all so so much for the love and prayers.
