Help Jason, Dustin, and Angie Reopen Hef's Restaurant

The flooding in Downtown Spruce Pine in the wake of Hurricane Helene was devastating, and our restaurant suffered significant losses due to the 7 feet of water that flooded into our dining room, bar and kitchen. Jason, Dustin, and Angie Hefner have been working tirelessly to rebuild and reopen their doors. Hef's has been closed for 5 months.

In order to complete the rebuilding process, Jason, Dustin and Angie need help! The cost of being closed for an extended period of time in one of our busiest tourist seasons is massive. The base construction costs, new architectural drawings, and labor costs puts the expense beyond what is feasible to take on as debt. This business has not been supported by their insurance due to the flood, and by the time they were able to connect to the internet, FEMA was unable to help them.

Let's come together to help this Spruce Pine staple come back! If you've visited our sweet town over the years and been welcomed into the community by the folks at Hef's - please consider donating. We could all use a classic wing night and a beer right about now!

Any little bit helps, and as we head into the spring season, the faster we can get this family back on their feet - the faster our community will see the benefit!

Funds raised with be used for equipment replacement, construction materials, labor, and the other re-opening costs like light fixtures, bathroom fixtures, signage and so much more.

Small businesses like Hef's really are the heart of the economy in this rural area. Investing in them will have massive ripple effects across not just the town of Spruce Pine but also in the lives of so many families across the whole county - especially those employed by Hef's!

Cami Leisk, another Downtown Spruce Pine business owner, and friend of Angie, set this fundraiser up on behalf of the Hefner's. We all need to come together to support each other in this rebuilding phase!
