Help Jaxon & Xander finish their Garden Project
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Janette, otherwise known as Nona, Grandmother to these two beautiful boys, Jaxon 7 & Xander 5. Mother of mummy Denni.
Tragically & Suddenly the boys lost their father Martin on the evening of 21.1.22, cause being Cardiomegaly, they are shattered, confused and devastated. Losing a parent is never easy, harder to understand when your so young, the slow realisation that you will never roast marshmallows together again, or build a snow igloo, or just lay on the grass watching the world go by.
Or finish the garden project that you all started one Saturday while mummy was at work. Jaxon always the gaffer and coming up with new ideas, Xander a grafter like his dad, can be seen with a shovel or a whacker, helping get the job done.
“No Dad I’m not sure that’s the right spot! You can hear Jaxon instructing! I’ve got bigger plans for that area! “
Together Daddy and the boys, talked about, a track round the garden, a sand box, a fire pit for marshmallow roasting, a gang hut! a games / weights room, seating area for mummy, a tire swing for Frankie the Frenchie, and a sunken trampoline, Martin dug a hole and put the boys trampoline in it, but drainage was an issue and the hole filled with water making it unsafe, for the boys and the dogs, the hole was refilled and unfortunately high winds damaged the trampoline and the whirley gig.
Over the last couple of weeks the boys have cried over the loss of there father, cried because they’ll never go to McDonald’s, or Roast Marshmallows, build igloos, sing songs in the truck with dad, or what’s “Really Sad they say we’ll never finish the garden!”
Rebuilding their lives after this crushing loss is going to be hard, missing dad, not hearing his voice, or having his strong arms cuddle them, or cheer them on at swimming practise, No grandmother wants this for her grandchildren, healing is going to be hard. Children need to have things to focus on. A project!
Finishing their Garden! it would be fantastic, if the wider community can help my grandsons, realise their garden dream, as a lasting memorial to their dad, as if it’s a gift from their Dad looking down from heaven creating the garden they talked about so many times. Every penny donated will go towards the project, if we exceed our ask, then if would go towards play equipment for the boys.
I would appreciate any local garden companies coming forward with estimates towards the work to be done, so I know we can achieve this for them.
If you can donate even a £1 it will be gratefully received, if you can’t donate, I wish you well, and ask that you share with your community, I love the African proverb “it takes a village to raise a child” please be part of our village and help my grandsons create a place of beauty to aid their grieving.
if you do donate and you knew Martin, please leave a message for the boys I think positive messages about their dad will be good for them.
much love and thanks Nona
