Help Jax's Family During This Critical Time

Hello everyone. My name is Amber Pulley and this is Jax, my best friend’s son. Jax is the strongest kid I know. When he was an infant, he had a stroke. He needed a new heart and eventually through a selfless donation, he was given a new heart! Jax has in his lifetime, has needed, a blood platelet donation, and just recently a blood transfusion. I come here today, because Jax is currently fighting for his life at Duke Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. What started out as pneumonia, quickly led to his left lung being almost completely consolidated with fluid. The pneumonia has attacked his lungs significantly, and he has needed surgery, treatment, multiple procedures, and multiple surgeries. He is currently on a ventilator. He was placed on a ventilator on hopes that after one of the procedures, it would allow his body to rest. They are trying to wean him off of the ventilator at this point, but have had no luck yet. He is not able to breathe on his own, but we are hopeful that he will eventually be strong enough to breathe on his own again so he can come home and get a cheeseburger with his mom and brother. Jax has been in the hospital going on two weeks. His mother has been by his side every single day, but she is also a single mother, who depends on being able to work to provide for her children. I come here today in hopes that the community in North Carolina can come together and please donate. His mother is struggling to pay for bills, while her child is fighting for his life. As a parent, this is the last thing that you should have to worry about. If you are not able to donate, we are thankful for a simple share, or prayers and healing vibes sent their way.
